Charles "Vegas" George, an electrical contractor from the United States, founded Vegas Electric in 1987. He had come to Roatan earlier that year to install custom fabricated generator switchgear for a local seafood processing plant. Recognizing the amazing potential of the Island, and the growing demand for quality electrical work, he founded Vegas Electric. One of the first businesses of its kind on Roatan, Vegas Electric is a full service electrical contracting company that offers a variety of electrical construction services.

As the Island has grown over the years so have we. When Vegas Electric opened its doors in 1987, an Island wide electrical grid was still five years away. Today, we are able to offer the most up-to-date and cutting edge electrical services available. To keep abreast of innovations in the electrical industry, we maintain an active affiliation with such leading professional and trade organizations as the National Electrical Contractors Association and the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. Our membership in the National Fire Protection Association provides access to continuing educations programs and participation in seminars dealing with the development of US National Electric Code.

Vegas Electric proudly contributes to the development of our Island community, and we are recognized as thought leaders in the Honduran electrical industry. It is one of the founding members of ACEH - Asociacion de Contratistas Electricos Hondureños.
