Commercial Solar Grid Tied System: Completed July 2021

Barefoot Cay is a luxury boutique resort and marina located on a private cay off the island’s south shore.  Vegas Electric has a long-standing relationship with Barefoot Cay having collaborated on multiple projects with great results.  When Barefoot was considering solar, Vegas Electric was their first choice of implementation partner.

The project complexity was relatively high.  The electric usage profile of the resort is vastly different to the marina and the property is located on the mainland of the island and also on the cay.  Complexity was further compounded by the concurrent resort expansion project.  However the project was delivered on-time and within expectations.  The array-mounted solar grid-tied system has so far saved over 30% from the utility costs which, in the words of GM Stephanie Bodden “is huge!”.
